- What Is Leadership and why do we need Passionate Leaders?
- Leadership, as defined by Lead America is this: The person who is willing to hold the ladder while everyone else climbs to the top. (knowing they will be able to lift him/her up)
- A leader needs to be passionate because leadership is a tough calling and one must be passionate about the role of leadeship or at the first sign of problems, they will crumble. Passion says, "I will stand no matter what. The desired result must come to past". Someone who is passionate will see to it that it does no matter who recieves the credit.
- What is Passion
- Passion, as defined by Lead America is this: Passion is an invisible motivator and the quiet encourager that moves a person to make changes". Then that passion will sustain them until they reach t desired result.
- When you hate a situation so much but you love the thought of the situation changing. When those two emotions are raging so strong inside of a person at teh same time, it creats passion. This passion will motivate a person to think about chnage in teh status quo and give them teh courage to act on it.

Integrity in Leadership
Integrity; as defined by Lead America is this: Standing behind what you say and being committed, even to your own hurt or losses. A person of integrity, to make it easy to stay committed should always strive to do what is right, say what is right and when they do anything, do it because it is right.
When we talk about the structure of a bridge we often talk about the strength of it or the integrity of it. Will it hold up under pressure or the weight of whatever will be traveling across it? Leaders must be in the position, able and willing to stand even under some not so favorable conditions. What you say is what you mean and what you get done; Period. No questions, no buts, no excuses.
A bridge will be well traveled if it is proven strong, safe and reliable, but if it starts to crumble and prove to be undependable it will be the bridge less traveled.
Integrity is proven when being tested. People can look at a bridge and see if it will hold them up. Make it a point stand strong.
